Coral bring you a sublime scorer special before the Premier League has a brief interlude for the international break, which features Southampton’s Graziano Pelle and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney both to net anytime at a smashing 7/2 price.

Rooney will lead United, who take on Crystal Palace at Old Trafford and, with the likes of Angel Di Maria plus Ander Herrera behind him, chances shouldn’t be hard to come by. The 29-year-old scored home and away against the Eagles last season, with United winning both matches. Throughout his domestic career, Rooney has scored 234 goals in 516 appearances and broken down that translates to 176 Premier League goals in 381 appearances.

Pelle is in fantastic form for Southampton, having netted nine times in all competitions so far this season. High flying Saints take on Leicester at home, with the Foxes embedded in the relegation zone and leaking goals. Pelle’s relationship with fellow new recruit Dusan Tadic is blossoming, and the two players seem to be operating on the same wavelength.

When signing, Pelle revealed his excitement to be playing in the Premier League, and it certainly appears as he’s making the most of it. “I remember watching Alan Shearer and Dennis Bergkamp playing really well and I always loved to watch Manchester United,” he said.

“This league is so exciting, every time it is so exciting to watch It’s not just enough to play in the Premier League. I want to improve. I think it’s the most difficult competition, especially for a striker because the defenders are really tough.

“They have great midfields in front that fight. Every ball I have to use everything and be strong up front for my teammates. But I like difficult games and the challenge because of the quality of all the teams,” he continued.

“Dusan Tadic told me ‘I’ve never seen you so happy when you score!’ He was joking but it was partly true because he knows how much I care and how important it was for me to score and to win the game.”
