Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid (odds-on favourites at 1/3 to win) have already delivered La Decima to the Bernabeu and are set to make yet more history if they can romp to victory against Malaga.

Los Blancos have already equalled a club record of 15 consecutive wins across all competitions, and could now break that by demolishing the ambitious Anchovies on their own turf.

Madrid have been in thrilling form this term, sweeping through Spain and Europe with aplomb, and have scored a sensational 16 in their last four La Liga outings.

At the forefront of Real’s forward thinking play is incredible Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently chasing Los Blancos legend Raul’s Champions League strike record.

The Ballon d’Or winner’s stats are once again stunning, with the Portuguese poacher having netted five more La Liga goals than the entire Malaga team this term.

Rapid Ronaldo will likely be the difference maker against the home team once again, and is 2/1 to bag a brace or better, and 7/1 to hit a hat-trick.

Gareth Bale (a 33/1 chance to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year) and Karim Benzema have also been amongst the goals during Real’s ridiculous run. The prolific pair are 4/1 and 10/3 to score first and last respectively.

Former Malaga attacker Isco has also impressed since taking on a deeper role in sidelined maestro Luka Modric’s absence. However, this visit to his former stomping ground will be the toughest test yet for the young Spaniard’s defensive nous.

Isco’s midfield partner Toni Kroos has recently brought Madrid’s tough schedule to attention, complaining of fatigue fears.

Speaking recently, the former Bayern Munich man stated: “I have not played more in my life. I’m getting tired. To make matters worse, in Spain there is no break in January, like there is in Germany. So I have to get by. I guess they will give me a break at some point.”

Javi Gracia’s boys will certainly be hoping Los Blancos are sub-par following their midweek battle with Basel, but sought-after Mexico stopper Guillermo Ochoa will have to be on top form to shut out Ronaldo and co.

The Anchovies are currently sitting in sixth spot in La Liga, and are pushing the likes of Seville and Valencia for a top four place and chance of Champions League football.

Malaga are an excellent 8/1 to put a stop to Madrid’s record-breaking run by stealing a memorable scalp, after an impressive five-game winning streak of their own, only halted by Real’s capital rivals Atletico last time out.

Despite their strong showing this season, and the fact they remain unbeaten at home, the Anchovies have a dreadful league record against their vivacious visitors. As it stands, Malaga have recorded just one win against the European Champions across all competitions.

Former Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz (7/2 to score anytime) will be tasked with leading the attack in the absence of joint leading Malaga marksman Juanmi, who may be sidelined for up to two months with an arm injury.

Gracia’s sturdy and stubborn side should still be difficult for even the might of Madrid to break down, but will have to hope Real’s boundless adventure causes problems for their own backline.
