Packers and Patriots top Super Bowl betting
Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots are the new 4-1 joint-favourites with bookmaker Coral to win Super Bowl XLIX as they both chalked up comprehensive victories yesterday to enhance their chances of lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Last season’s runners-up Denver are out to 9-2, while defending champions Seattle have been pushed out to 12-1 after a further defeat.
“The two stand-out results from the weekend were the emphatic victories by Green Bay and New England against good opposition. Our betting suggests they are the two teams to beat at this stage of the season but it is very much wide open,” said Coral’s John Hill.
