SPORTSBOOK ODDS

As we near the final week of our gigantic GOALvember offer, we bring you the latest on the player performance ratings from last time out.

It will perhaps come as no surprise that Diego Costa had the highest number of selections, with 1,040 of you benefiting from his solitary strike against West Bromwich Albion.

The Brazilian-born Spanish centre forward took his Premier League goals tally to 11, one less than leading scorer Sergio Aguero, who failed in his quest to find the net against Swansea, much to 789 customers’ disappointment.

Chelsea travel to the Stadium of Light next to take on Sunderland, and no doubt Costa will relish the opportunity to breach what has been a considerably leaky defence this season.

Although he picked up a knock in Chelsea’s Champions League 5-0 away victory over Schalke, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that his player will be fit to play in the north east.

“He [Costa] took a knock. In his leg, I don’t know [what it was exactly],” said ‘the Special One’. “I wasn’t so worried at the time. He will be ready for Saturday.”

Sticking with a Blues theme, Belgian talent Eden Hazard was also on target to please 110 of you, as he converted from a well-executed corner against the Baggies. The 23-year-old has four goals in the league, and six across all competitions this term, and will be hoping to carry his fine form into the match against the Black Cats.

Many may not have expected Wayne Rooney to score against Arsenal, with a home win widely predicted. Although the 29-year-old England striker was the third most picked player, only 130 people selected him. In hindsight, it was a sensible decision, after nine goals against the Gunners previously.

Everton’s Romelu Lukaku did the business as the Toffees beat West Ham 2-1 at home, netting the opener to become the club’s joint-top scorer with five goals in all competitions, and was picked by 34 of you.
