Punters celebrate Real success in Champions League

| 22.10.2014

Liverpool are out to 4-6 with Coral to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League after their 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have been trimmed into 10-3 joint-favourites (from 7-2) to defend their title in the premier European competition following their victory which was very popular among punters today.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have been cut into 1-20 in the betting to qualify for the knockout stages on the back of their 2-1 victory in Belgium this evening.

“Usually when an English club loses in the Champions League it is a good result for us, but Real Madrid were backed off the boards today so punters were toasting the success of Ronaldo and co,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Although they suffered defeat, we still think Liverpool can qualify from their group, while Arsenal look to have one foot in the next round,” added Hill
