Lewis, Wade, Taylor and Anderson all to win in awesome 6/4 acca

| 08.10.2014

Coral are offering a grossly enhanced offer of 6/4 for all of heavily odds-on favourites in their respective World Grand Prix second round matches Adrian Lewis, James Wade, Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson to win on Wednesday night.

Finalist in 2010 Lewis takes on Kevin Painter, double winner of this competition Wade battles Robert Thornton, 11-time champion Taylor is up against Andrew Gilding and former Premier League topper Anderson tackles Michael Mansell.

With all the first round matches over, the following fixtures for the last 16 and quarter-finals in Dublin will be best-of-five sets. Here’s why you should back this special bet.

Adrian Lewis v Kevin Painter
After seeing off Daryl Gurney in the first round, Lewis enters this second round battle that opens the evening off at 7.10pm with the Artist as the massive favourite for victory, odds-on at 1/4. This is largely due to the fact that he has won each of his last four meetings, including all three in 2014, with Painter convincingly.

A more enticing bet to take, would be for 2010 runner-up World Grand Prix Lewis to win 3-1, at 9/4, as he did in a best-of-five sets match against him in this same round of the Players Championship in Scotland, 2006.

James Wade v Robert Thornton
Wade is one of only four people to have taken this title away from Taylor, and the only player to have done so twice, in 2007 and 2010. He takes on Scotsman Thornton, who has only reached as far as the quarter-finals of the World Grand Prix before, after disposing of Andy Smith with ease in the last 32.

The Machine won his last head-to-head with the Thorn in a close 6-5 victory this year at the Players Championship, and he is odds-on at 8/15 to beat again, and 7/2 to do so 3-2 in sets.

Phil Taylor v Andrew Gilding
The Power really needs no introduction these days, after still going so strong at the age of 54. He is the World Grand Prix title holder, 11-time winner of the competition and 7/4 favourite to lift the trophy once more this year.

Gilding has no chance, having never reached this stage before, and that is why Coral price Taylor as the overwhelming 1/12 odds-on favourite to power his way into the quarters. Even his price of 4/5 to win 3-0 don’t look enticing enough, which is why this special is so rightly named.

Gary Anderson v Michael Mansell
Anderson and Northern Irishman Mansell have met just twice before, but the former has dismantled him on both occasions. That is why the Flying Scotsman is heavily odds-on at 1/7 to beat him again.

The Scot will be aiming to reach his third quarter-final at this competition, against a man who is in uncharted waters. Anderson has already whitewashed one Northern Irishman this year in the World Grand Prix, Brendan Dolan, and is 5/4 to do so to his World Cup partner as well.
