Hamilton cut for title after Japanese win

| 05.10.2014

Lewis Hamilton has been cut into 2-5 (from 4-7) by bookmaker Coral to win the Drivers’ Championship this season following his victory in the Japanese Grand Prix. The British driver now has a 10 point advantage over Nico Rosberg, who is out to 15-8 (from 6-4) after losing points to his teammate and rival.

Coral has also priced up next Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix where they make Hamilton their 4-6 favourite to pick up maximum points once again.

“The result in Japan will by no means settle the title this season but it has helped Hamilton extend his lead at the top of the standings so he has now shortened to lift his second World Championship this season,” said Coral’s John Hill.

**Drivers’ Championship

2-5 Lewis Hamilton, 15-8 Nico Rosberg, 66 Daniel Ricciardo,

**Russian Grand Prix

4-6 Lewis Hamilton, 9-4 Nico Rosberg, 10 Daniel Ricciardo, 12 Sebastian Vettel, 16 Valtteri Bottas, 25 Felipe Massa, 33 Fernando Alonso, 80 Bar.
