Robin van Persie and Gareth Bale a tasty 10/3 anytime scorer double

| 13.10.2014

The international break continues, with Coral offering a delightful double for Robin van Persie and Gareth Bale both to score anytime at 10/3.

Robin van Persie travels to Iceland with his Netherlands side in great form, having put in a fantastic performance against Kazakhstan, netting the third goal from the penalty spot.

His Clockwork Orange team have never lost to Iceland, winning on nine of 10 occasions and, with the likes of Arjen Robben, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, and the rejuvenated Ibrahim Afellay in support, there will likely be plenty of chances from his supply line.

Netherlands record scorer Van Persie, with 48 goals in 94 appearances, was lively in the country’s latest qualifier and, despite conceding an early lead against the south-eastern Europeans, is looking forward to playing Iceland.

Speaking about the last match, Van Persie said: “It was a bizarre evening. But congratulations to us, because we ended up with a good result and it was not easy at all.

“Despite conceding the early goal, we kept on playing well and that gives me a really good feeling about this match. Now we can travel to Iceland in good spirits. They are more of a footballing side than Kazakhstan, which might suit us better.”

Bale, meanwhile, will feature for Wales against Cyprus, determined to do a job, after earning a hard-fought draw against Bosnia & Herzegovina. “We go into Cyprus full of confidence but knowing we need to focus and concentrate,” he said.

“We need to get the three points. Hopefully we can get another big crowd here on Monday and do them proud and get three points.

“We want to win every game but I think a draw is still a very good result against the top seeds of the group,” added the Real Madrid star, who has netted three times in as many appearances for Wales, as well as a total of 14 in 44 international matches.

Furthermore, 25-year-old Bale has four goals in seven La Liga outings for Los Blancos, and looks a fantastic chance to find the net against Cyprus who have conceded six in their last four matches.
