Baggies’ brilliant Berahino has belief in the Three Lions

England’s Under-21s take on their Croatian counterparts in the second leg of their European Championship play-off, and striker Saido Berahino believes England, who are 6/4 with Coral to win in 90 minutes, have what it takes to progress, after a 2-1 victory at Molineux.

“It is going to be different out there, a different type of environment for all of us,” said Berahino, who is 5/1 to net the first goal.

“But we’re professional enough and have been in those situations before, so we’re just going to go out there and look to do a professional job and make sure we qualify.

“The whole 18 have been training well and we’ve put in a good shift so we can be really confident and try to give them a good game.”

West Bromwich Albion forward Berahino has been in sterling form of late, netting five in his last three appearances for the Baggies, and starred for Gareth Southgate in this qualification campaign, scoring 10 times.

He has also talked up his partnership with Tottenham Hotspur attacker Harry Kane, who is 6/4 to find the goal anytime, as well as Norwich winger Nathan Redmond, a 7/2 chance in the same market.

“It worked well (in the) last group group game against Moldova and pretty well on Friday,” Berhaino continued. “We are growing as a partnership. We tried to cause a lot of problems to the opponents.

“It was good Harry got the goal, I am happy for him, and Nathan got the assist for the penalty. We are just working well together as a three.”

For the second leg, Southgate could make a couple of changes, after Burnley defender Michael Keane and Derby midfielder Will Hughes picked up injuries in the first leg.

Captain and goalkeeper Jack Butland, is hoping the Three Lions can make their advantage count away from home, following his claims that missing out on qualification was “not an option”.

The Stoke City custodian said: “The win has made it a lot harder for them. They’re going to have come and attack us but we have plenty of ability to cope with that and hit them on the break.

“We’ll be full of confidence and our mentality won’t change just because it’s away from home. Maybe we attack with a little more caution, but we will approach the game properly. We will be looking to pass the ball round, dictate the game and score goals,” he continued.

“We’ve put ourselves in a good position. We’re ahead in the tie and we know that a draw or a win will see us through.”

Fiorentina-owned forward Ante Rebic could carry the biggest threat for Nenad Gracan’s Croatian side, and is 7/4 to find the net anytime. The player, who is on loan from Vincenzo Montella’s Viola at Red Bull Leipzig, has plenty of talent, as his haul of six goals in 10 Euro 2015 qualifying games indicates.

However, it was Rebic’s attacking partner Marko Livaja who hit the solitary goal in the West Midlands, and he is also 7/4 to do so again anytime, with Croatia also 6/4 to win the match in 90 minutes.
