One-way traffic for Slade in Cardiff betting

| 23.09.2014

Russell Slade is now as short as 4-6 with bookmaker Coral to be the next permanent Cardiff boss, despite Leyton Orient refusing the Welsh club permission to speak to their manager. The current favourite to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was a 33-1 shot when he first entered the betting for the job.

Meanwhile, Malky MacKay heads the betting to be appointed Fulham manager. The former Cardiff man sits ahead of Chris Hughton and Kit Symonds at 4-1 in the market.

“Punters don’t believe Cardiff are going to give up on Russell Slade as they are continuing to back him to succeed Solksjaer. We’ve not really seen much money for anyone other than Slade over the past 48 hours,” said Coral’s John Hill.

4-6 Russell Slade, 7 Scott Young, 8 Tony Pulis, Kevin Cooper, 10 Neil Lennon, Paul Hartley, Dave Jones, 20 Bar.

**Next Fulham manager

2 Malky MacKay, 4 Chris Hughton, Kit Symons, 6 Neil Lennon, Tim Sherwood, 10 Bar.
