Dolphins slim betting favourites over Raiders NFL’s Wembley clash

| 28.09.2014

Oakland Raiders will be gunning for their first win of the season when they welcome the 1-2 Miami Dolphins to London’s Wembley Stadium, as 3.5-point home underdogs in NFL online betting at Coral.

The Raiders have failed to post a victory SU in early 2014, but are 2-1 ATS, covering in low scoring road losses to the New England Patriots and New York Jets. Oakland have done a solid job in defense, holding opponents to under 20 points twice this season, but have produced less than 11 points per game on average over their last five.

Fortunately for the Raiders, they face a Dolphins squad that has been equally feeble offensively, scoring a meagre 52 points combined in their last five outings, in which they are 1-4 SU and ATS.

The 2-1 Detroit Lions will look to end a four-game losing streak on the road when they visit the Jets as 1.5-point road underdogs on Sunday.

Winning twice at home, SU and ATS, the Lions are off to a strong start in 2014, posting double-digit victories over the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers. However, the club has struggled enormously away from Ford Field, losing by double-digits on three occasions during their current road tailspin, which contributing directly to the team missing the NFL playoffs last season.

Conversely, the 1-2 Jets have played well at home of late, winners in five of their last seven SU, 3-3 ATS, and are a solid 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four as home underdogs.

The 1-2 Indianapolis Colts return home on Sunday to take on the 1-2 Tennessee Titans as 7.5-point favourites in NFL Week 4 betting action at Coral.

Losing back-to-back games SU for the first time since Andrew Luck took over as the club’s starting QB, the Colts endured a frustrating start to their season. Mistakes and turnovers directly contributed to losses to Denver and Philadelphia, before Indy found their groove last week, crushing the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars, 44-17, easily covering as six-point favourites.

Tennessee have struggled since their Week 1 win over Kansas City, getting blown out by Dallas and Cincinnati in their last two. Things won’t get easier this weekend for the Titans, who are without victory in their last five visits to Indianapolis. However, despite their woes, the Titans have been a solid bet on the road, 6-3-1 ATS and 5-5 SU in their last 10.

In other Week 4 NFL betting action at Coral, the 2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers will look to build on last weekend’s decisive 37-19 win over the Carolina Panthers when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as 7.5-point favourites at Heinz Field.

The 2-1 San Diego Chargers will be looking for their eighth victory in their last 10, 9-1 ATS, when they face Jacksonville as 13.5-point favourites. The Jags are 0-6 SU in their last, 0-5-1 ATS, losing their previous three by double-digits, while surrendering almost 40 points per game on average during that stretch.
