Monaco, Marseille, St-Etienne is easy money 11/2 treble
There’s money to be made on the football this weekend, but don’t just look the Premier League punters! Ligue 1 big boys Monaco and Marseille, along with talented hotbed St-Etienne are a boosted price of 11/2 for respective victories over Bordeaux, Montpellier and Reims.
Here’s why you should part with your money on this tasty treble.
Bordeaux v Monaco
Leonardo Jardim is 6/4 to steer mega-rich Monaco to a win across France in Bordeaux, and the Principality outfit have earned victories to nil on their last three visits in all competitions. Better odds of 16/5 say Monaco will take all the spoils without reply.
This is the perfect opportunity to bring star striker Radamel Falcao back into the XI, and he is 11/10 to net anytime for Jardim at Bordeaux.
Giant Ivory Coast international Lacina Traore or former Fulham, Manchester United and Spurs frontman Dmitar Berbatov are attractive alternatives too. Each have odds of 6/4 to score in this fixture for magnificent Monaco.
Marseille v Montpellier
Enigmatic Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa is known for his unorthodox tactics, and it is worth backing method in the man nicknamed El Loco’s madness, as his current club are odds-on at 4/7 to defeat Montpellier. Stripped of prized asset Remy Cabella after selling him to Newcastle, their creativity will be severely lacking here.
There’s no danger of the same happening to a Bielsa team, though. Marseille have done the double over Montpellier in each of the last two seasons, and their Argentine coach pulled off a real coup by landing highly-rated Belgian attacker Michy Batshuayi. It’s 11/10 he scores anytime in this encounter.
St-Etienne v Reims
Les Verts are odds-on at 8/15 for a home win here, and with good reason after spanking Reims 4-0 in this fixture last term. Ricky van Wolfswinkel has been added to St-Etienne’s attacking options, but it is captain and centre back Loic Perrin who the opposition will fear. He bagged a brace in that rout in November, and is 9/2 to score once more.
