France’s Ligue 1 is now underway, with PSG drawing 2-2 away to Reims on the opening day, but back favourites Marseille, Lille and Saint-Etienne all to win their respective matches at 13/2.

New Marseille boss Marcelo Bielsa takes his side to Bastia, Lille host newly-promoted Metz, while Saint-Etienne travel to Guingamp. So back these clubs, that finished in the top six last season, with Coral for a fantastic chance to reap rewards from incredible odds.

SC Bastia v Marseille
Marcelo ‘El Loco’ Bielsa takes his new side to Bastia and, with him, he brings his famed philosophies and intriguing 3-3-3-1 formation that have earned him much praise, but also his nickname; ‘The Madman’.

But while his obsessive methods seem mad on the face of it, they certainly work. The Argentine has managed to already engrain his ways into this talented group of players in such a short space of time, having lost none of his five pre-season friendlies – winning four of them – since taking over.

Marseille, who came sixth last term under Bielsa’s predecessor, have beaten Bastia, now managed by Claude Makelele, in five of their last six meetings, and are evens to do so again. Their last encounter was a 3-0 victory for L’OM, and they are priced at 18/1 for that scoreline once more.

Dimitri Payet netted twice that day, and is 12/1 to bag a brace or better again, or 2/1 to get a goal anytime. Andre-Pierre Gignac, meanwhile, was also on target in that match. He also scored twice against them the season before, and is a 5/4 chance to get a double or more again.

Lille v Metz
Lille face newly-promoted Metz in what looks to be a one-sided match. The former have never lost a match against the latter in 13 attempts, and that is why Coral make them overwhelming favourites at 1/2 to beat them on their own turf.

Rene Girard’s side finished third last term in Ligue 1, and have a fantastic strike force to fire them to victory. Among them, former Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou is 3/1 to score two or more, while new Liverpool forward and Belgian World Cup star Divock Origi, who has been loaned back to the French side, is 5/4 to net anytime.

Guingamp v Saint-Etienne
Saint-Etienne go into the new season having finished in an impressive fourth place last season, and start the new campaign against Guingamp, who narrowly managed to stay up.

The duo faced each other twice in the league in 2013/14, with the former unbeaten, winning once. Saint-Etienne are 13/10 favourites for victory again.

If you fancy new signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who is on loan from Norwich City, to net anytime on his debut, back him at 11/8.
