SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Back Bayern Munich, Cardiff City and Celtic all to win their respective matches in 90 minutes with Coral to enjoy enhanced odds of 6/1.

Munich battle Borussia Dortmund in the German Super Cup, the Bluebirds duel with Coventry City for a place in the Capital One Cup second round and Celtic take on St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.

Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich
Bayern begin this battle as 11/10 favourites for victory in 90 minutes, and will be able to call on another former Borussia prized asset Robert Lewandowski, who arrived at the Allianz Arena on a free transfer. The prolific Polish poacher is 5/4 to net anytime and 9/2 to get the first against his old club.

The German giants contested the domestic Super Cup last season, with the Bavarians running out 2-1 winners. Bundesliga champions Munich are 8/1 to beat them by that scoreline again, or 12/1 for a 2-0 result, which was the outcome of their last meeting – in the German Cup final.

Coventry City v Cardiff City
League One side Coventry have not beaten the Welsh Championship outfit in their last nine head-to-heads, with the scoreline in Cardiff’s favour being 2-1 on three of those occasions. They are 8/1 to win by that result again. In seven of those matches, meanwhile, they netted exactly twice, and they are odds-on at 10/11 to get over 1.5 goals again.

Cardiff, who are evens for victory, have a player on their books who scores for fun against Coventry, as he has five in his last six matches against them. Midfielder Peter Whittingham is a fantastic 7/2 chance to net past them once more.

St Johnstone v Celtic
The Bhoys are unbeaten in eight outings against the Perthshire outfit in all competitions, so it’s no wonder they are odds-on at 8/15 for victory here.

Highly-rated Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk is worth a bet in the last scorer market at 20/1, or as a safer 7/1 anytime, as he has done so on two of his last three appearances against St Johnstone.
