Cheshire derby as Widnes face Wire while Wigan host Hull

After an action-packed 24-24 draw between fierce rivals Leeds and Castleford, in which Rhinos’ skipper Kevin Sinfield received a red card, attention now switches from Yorkshire to Cheshire.

Warrington can go joint-top with Leeds and St Helens on 30 points if they can overcome the challenge of Widnes. The Wolves demolished London last time out, 72-12, and are odds-on at 1/7 to record a sixth successive victory. To upset the apple-cart, Widnes are 9/2.

Chris Hill, who ran in a hat-trick of tries against the Broncos, is great value to cross the whitewash at anytime with odds of 5/2, while the best chance for the Vikings could come from Rhys Hanbury, odds-on at 10/11 to achieve the same feat.

Wigan also have the chance to go level on points at the top of Super League, hosting Hull FC, in a fixture that always provides entertainment. The Warriors, who are odds-on at 1/7 to take the two points, could hand full-back Lewis Tierney a first run-out of the campaign, replacing the injured Matty Bowen. The youngster is odds-on at 5/6 to breach the in-goal at anytime.

The Humberside club lost 35-22 to Salford in their last match, and are 9/2 to record a first victory in four attempts. Hooker James Cunningham could be set for his initial bow of the season, following a recall from the Broncos. Kirk Yeaman, who added two tries to his tally against the Red Devils is 16/1 to score first in the match.

London, at 16/1, entertain St Helens, who could emerge as the outright leaders by the end of the weekend. Their visitors crushed Bradford Bulls 46-22 last time out, though with three wins and two losses in five games, recent form is patchy. Odds-on at 1/100 to beat opposition that are still seeking a first victory, and have been relegated from Super League, they should run in a significant amount of tries.

Elsewhere, Wakefield travel to Catalans and the Wildcats have a price of 7/2 to claw a win, while the Dragons are odds-on at 1/5.
