Bet £10 on the Open Championship and get £30 free with Coral

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

New Coral customers can enjoy this crazy special offer by placing £10 on the Open Championship, before it begins. In return, you will enjoy £30 for free (£20 immediately, plus £10 in-play once the tournament starts).

We have not forgotten out existing customers, meanwhile, who will also be able to claim the £10 in-play bet by placing £10 before the first tee-off.

This year’s Open is to be held at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, Merseyside, and will be held from July 17th-20th.

If you are wondering how best to take advantage of this amazing offer, then look no further than two-time major champion Rory McIlroy, who narrowly leads the way in the outright market to win the Open at 11/1.

The 25-year-old Northern Irishman has finished third at this tournament before, in 2010, and will be playing for increased £975k first-placed prize.

McIlroy will face competition from the likes of American duo Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, though.

Mickelson made a remarkable comeback in the last round in 2013 to finally win his first Major on UK soil, having started the day five strokes behind leader Englishman Lee Westwood. He is a decent 22/1 chance to retain the Claret Jug.

He has been in poor form since winning his fifth Major, but the 44-year-old said: “I always thought and hoped that I could [win the Open], from the first time I played in 1991 at Royal Birkdale.

“I think it’s a lot easier to win it a second time than it is the first. I mean, the first time you just don’t know and don’t have the belief and the second time you have already done it. It takes pressure off. You already have the confidence and knowledge to do it again.”

Do not forget three-time Open champion Woods, however, who holds the record score at this tournament, recording -19 in 2000 at St Andrews.

Still at the relatively young age (in golfing terms) of 38, Woods is the second-favourite to win this tournament at 12/1, as he looks to get his first Major in six years. He was Open champion the last time it was held at Royal Liverpool, in 2006, and is now raring to go, following his recent return from back surgery.

His rival McIlroy said: “We have all witnessed what Tiger has been able to do over his career, whether that’s come back from injury and win, come back from any sort of off-course stuff and win. I mean, he won the US Open on one leg, really on one leg.

“Is it foolish for people to write him off? I would say so. If he’s playing and he’s competing, he’s got as good a chance as any. I wouldn’t write him off completely. I still think he can do things that we have never seen from any other golfer.”

Check out this fantastic offer now!
