2011 all over again as Kingman is 4-7 to triumph in duel on the downs

| 28.07.2014

Kingman is 4-7 favourite with Coral for Wednesday’s Qipco Sussex Stakes, with last year’s winner Toronado 7-4 for a repeat success, following the final declarations for the Glorious Goodwood showpiece.

“Kingman’s presence in the Qipco Sussex Stakes ensures we have a race to savour on Wednesday, with the betting suggesting the outcome will be a repeat of 2011, when a 3-y-o colt sporting the Abdullah silks beat the previous year’s Hannon-trained Goodwood winner in the original duel on the downs between Frankel and Canford Cliffs,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
