England, Netherlands, Argentina, Uruguay in awesome 11/4 acca

| 04.06.2014

Coral are offering enhanced odds on today’s World Cup warm up friendlies. England, The Netherlands, Argentina and Uruguay together at 11/4 all to win their games against Ecuador, Wales, Trinidad & Tobago and Slovenia respectively.

With Roy Hodgson taking the unusual step of naming the majority of his starting Xi to face the South American opposition, an experimental England team will still be strong with the inclusions of Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and James Milner. This mix of experience, alongside fringe and youth players aiming to impress, should see the Three Lions ease past an Ecuador outfit that have only won two of their last 13 outings.

The head to head record also favours England emerging victorious, with two wins from two previous clashes between the sides, never conceding a single goal against the Ecuadorians.

The Netherlands

Forthright Netherlands national manager Louis van Gaal grabbed the headlines this week, airing his disappointment that the Oranje will not be able to test themselves against Real Madrid and Arsenal superstars Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey. Wales will still be able to field top flight stars such as Liverpool’s Joe Allen, who will captain the side, but Van Gaal will fancy his chances against the depleted Dragons.

History also favours the Clockwork Orange, with the Dutch having won all six past encounters against the Welsh.

Argentina take on Trinidad & Tobago in Buenos Aires, with not only the home advantage but a star-studded attacking line-up of Sergio Aguero, Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria all expected to be involved.

The Soca Warriors will be somewhat of an unknown quantity for the Argentinian super-squad, with the two having never played each other previously. Even so, the Messi’s men are massive odds on at 1/10 to claim the win, with the twin island team in 74th place in the FIFA World Rankings, compared to La Albicelste’s seventh slot.

World Cup royalty Uruguay face Slovenia with an array of attacking talent available to them despite Luis Suarez’s continued absence. As the superstar fights to regain fitness, La Celeste are still able to call upon Paris Saint-Germain’s feared forward Edinson Cavani, who bagged 16 goals in 30 games for the Ligue 1 champions this season.

Former Manchester United, Internazionale and Atletico Madrid poacher Diego Forlan is also available for selection, with the evergreen striker, now aged 35, plying his trade in the J-League for Cerezo Osaka.

Uruguay are at 4/11 to beat a Slovenian side that missed out on qualification for the Brazil finals, and come into this game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Algeria.
