Back England, Belgium, Argentina & USA all to win at 4/1

England take on Honduras knowing that a win will significantly boost their confidence ahead of their first World Cup match against Italy. Manager Roy Hodgson is widely expected to name a full strength starting XI, somewhat similar to the team that started and beat Peru 3-0, rather than the experimental one that drew with Ecuador last time out.

Daniel Sturridge produced a goal of the highest quality against Peru, and will be looking to for more of the same, after witnessing a sensational strike from Rickie Lambert against Ecuador.

Argentina meanwhile, take on Slovenia in what should be a routine match for Alejandro Sabella’s side. With arguably the best strike-force of any of the 32 nations at the World Cup, this match should just be shooting practice for Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero, and Gonzalo Higuain. Sabella though, could experiment with PSG and Inter Milan forwards Ezequiel Lavezzi and Rodrigo Palacio respectively.

Keeping Slovenia at bay shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Manchester City’s Premier League winning duo Martin Demichellis and Pablo Zabaleta or indeed the highly talented and solid Benfica centre back Ezequiel Garay.

Belgium, who have been labelled as many people’s dark horses for the World Cup take on Tunisia, and will be confident that star striker Romelu Lukaku can do the necessary damage, with Eden Hazard and Kevin Mirallas backing him up in attack. La Liga winner with Atletico Madrid, Thibaut Courtois should do a job in goal against what is expected to be a lacklustre Tunisian attack.

Jurgen Klinsmann’s USA take on Nigeria, having beaten Turkey 2-1 last time out, while their opponents could only manage a 0-0 stalemate against Greece. Hoffenheim left back Fabian Johnson scored with a superb volley, and ex-Fulham forward Chris Dempsey slotted home in clinical fashion from close range.
