Online Coral customer scoops over 500k for just two pounds

A Manchester-based punter had extra reason to celebrate his birthday this week, after he scooped more than £500,000 for just a £2 bet on his big day. The 58-year-old warehouse manager, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the £507,702.84 jackpot whilst playing an online slot machine with coral.co.uk on Monday, and in a further twist, he had recently been made redundant from his job, but now plans to retire early on the proceeds of his life changing win.

The customer said: “I had recently lost my job and been offered another role with the company on a short term contract and a significantly lower salary, but now I can hand in my notice and enjoy an early retirement thanks to this windfall.”
