SPORTSBOOK ODDS

The gamble on Louis Van Gaal taking over from David Moyes as Manchester United’s next permanent manager continues as the Dutchman is now 4-6 with leading bookmaker Coral. The Netherlands boss was 5-1 yesterday morning but punters have continued to support the 62-year old.

Real Madrid’s Carlos Ancelotti sits second in the betting with Coral having been cut into 6-1 (from 25-1), while interim manager Ryan Giggs is out to 20-1 to secure the role on a permanent basis.

“Punters are backing Van Gaal like it is a done deal, he is now odds-on to land the job. Ancelotti has also attracted some support in the last 24 hours, however, a lot can change quickly in these manager markets,” said Coral’s John Hill.
