Back Spurs, AC Milan, and Aberdeen in terrific 6/1 treble

| 07.04.2014

Europa league chasing Tottenham host a Sunderland side battling against relegation, AC Milan travel to Genoa, and Aberdeen face a Hibernian team that are still reeling from defeat to their fierce rivals Hearts.

Tottenham v Sunderland
Tim Sherwood, criticised for his dress-sense as much as his team’s patchy form in recent weeks will hope to restore his team’s Europa League qualification hopes as they welcome Sunderland to White Hart Lane. Spurs still have an outside chance of making the top four, and are Coral offering odds of 40/1. Emmanuel Adebayor, 7/2 to score first, could be in line for a return from a gashed heel, and could be joined by defender Vlad Chiriches, and midfielder Paulinho, however Roberto Soldado and Jan Vertonghen will be absent after picking up injuries last time out.

Sunderland have capitulated after their Capital One Cup final showing, and find themselves firmly on the bottom of the league. The Black Cats have lost this fixture to nil at White Hart Lane on three out of their last four visits.

Genoa v AC Milan
The sleeping giants of Italian football seem to have woken up in recent weeks. Head coach Clarence Seedorf has seen Mario Balotelli and Kaka score twice in their last two matches, and this bodes well for their journey to Genoa. Balotelli is expected to spearhead the attack again, and currently has 13 league goals in 23 appearances this season, and 21 in all competitions.

Their hosts have only one win in their last five matches, and the port side have showed all the attributes of a sinking ship in recent weeks. A defence that is leaking goals, they surrendered three to Verona last week. Milan have won on their last two visits to Genoa, so look to do so again at 11/10.

Hibernian v Aberdeen
The Dons can cement second place with a win against Hibernian tonight, and have already recorded wins home and away against them this term. Tied for second with Motherwell, sporting a game in hand, Aberdeen have no fresh injury worries, and are expected to return to the capital with an unchanged squad. Top scorer Niall McGinn is 5/1 to score first, and add to his tally of 10 goals this campaign.

Hibs boss Terry Butcher also has no new injury concerns, and is focused on keeping his team clear of the relegation play-off zone. They have slipped to seventh in the league, after a run of five games without a win, and on current form are in danger of being dragged into a fight to stay up. They also failed to beat fierce rivals Hearts in their last match, though unlike Aberdeen who managed a point, the Hibees lost 2-0.
