Aston Villa v Southampton – Draw
Neither side are on form. Villa are on a run of four straight defeats, while the Saints have not won their last two. Paul Lambert’s side certainly need a victory more, to enhance their chances of Premier League safety, but a draw is the likely score here.

Cardiff v Stoke – Away win
The Bluebirds made a case to keep themselves in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory against Southampton last time out, though, conceded 12 in their previous three games. Stoke, however are on a great run of form, and have won three out of their last four.

Newcastle United v Swansea City – Draw
The Swans have won their last three matches with Newcastle, and with the Magpies on a run of four straight league losses, Garry Monk’s side could get a draw at St James’ Park. Swansea are just three points clear of safety, and desperately need to take something from this game.

West Ham v Crystal Palace – Draw
Both teams had mixed fortunes in midweek. The Hammers lost 3-1 to Arsenal, while Pulis’s Palace surprised everyone with a 3-2 win against top four challengers Everton. Both teams are hard to break down, and are relatively secure. A draw seems the likeliest outcome.

Barnsley v Leeds United – Draw
Leeds have beaten Barnsley just once in their last nine, losing five, and the Whites’ recent Championship form is certainly not promising either. Despite winning their last game against Blackpool, they suffered defeat in their previous five. Barnsley are two points from safety, however, and in mixed form themselves.

Middlesbrough v Millwall – Draw
Aitor Karanka’s Boro beat Burnley last time out, and that will buoy them ahead of yet another finish in mid-table mediocrity. Millwall, meanwhile, are fighting for their lives at the bottom, and took a famous win away from Wigan on their previous jaunt up north. A share of the spoils, along the lines of Middlesbrough’s 2-2 draw at Huddersfield in March should see Ian Holloway earn a point at the Riverside.

Nottingham Forest v Birmingham City – Draw
Forest have not won in their last 10 in the Championship, while Birmingham have been inconsistent of late. Two of their last three head-to-heads have been draws, so a share of the spoils looks likely here again.

Watford v Ipswich – Draw
The Hornets may have lost at home just once since the turn of the year, but Ipswich held them in the reverse fixture, and Mick McCarthy’s men hold more realistic hopes of a late play-off push. As inconsistent as the Suffolk side have been on the road, expect them to take something back to Portman Road from this trip to Hertfordshire.

Hull City v Arsenal – Away win
The Gunners simply must capitalise on Everton losing their game in hand against Crystal Palace, by punishing their FA Cup final opponents in league action here. You have to go way back to 1915 for the last time the Tigers humbled Arsenal at home, and there are no signs Steve Bruce’s side will upset them here.

Norwich v Liverpool – Away win
Luis Suarez single-handedly tortured the Canaries in December netting four goals in the 5-1 victory. Liverpool are vying for the title and have won their last 10 games, while their hosts have lost three in a row and are battling relegation.

Chelsea v Sunderland – Home win
Chelsea have remarkably won 17 out of their last 18 battles with Sunderland in the league. The title second-favourites are undoubtedly set for another victory here at Stamford Bridge against the basement club.

Everton v Man Utd – Home win
In a fixture that usually produces goals, this should be no different. Everton succumbed to Crystal Palace in midweek, while their opponents won 4-0 at Newcastle last time out. The Toffees need a win to keep up pressure on Arsenal for fourth place.

Leyton Orient v Wolves – Away win
London outfit Orient have won just one of their last four home games, and face the side that can boast the best away record in League One going into the Easter weekend. Wolves have been defeated just once on their travels in 2014, and Kenny Jackett’s team are now pursuing the third-tier title.

Leeds United v Nottingham Forest – Draw
Forest have won three of the last four meetings, but neither side has anything more than pride to play for now. Leeds look safe on 50 points, while the Reds are already looking to next season when City Ground icon Stuart Pearce will be installed in the dugout. A point apiece looks the likely outcome from this dead rubber.

Man City v West Brom – Home win
After being held to a draw by Sunderland, City’s title hopes may well be all but over, though they will relish the opportunity to salvage pride against the Baggies. West Brom have found some form recently with five points from their last three matches, yet Man City should prove to be too strong.
