Liverpool can edge closer to 19th PL title with win at West Ham

| 06.04.2014

Liverpool (15/8 title chances) are not only the in-form team of the Premier League, but also now top the table with just six matches of the season to go. They are a point ahead of second-placed Manchester City (odds-on favourites at 5/6), but have played a game more, and two ahead of Chelsea (7/1).

Brendan Rodgers’ Reds are in rampant form, with eight wins in their last eight league matches, and it is no wonder why they are priced as heavy favourites for victory again at 2/5. They are on such a superb streak, that Coral offer special market odds of 2/1 for Liverpool to see out the rest of the season unbeaten.

West Ham have certainly not disappointed in terms of results recently, after winning all four of their games in February and, after a miserable start to March with three straight defeats, they have come out on top in their last two. They have odds of 7/1 if you fancy them for victory at Upton Park.

In six of the last eight head-to-heads the Reds have been winners, and scored an impressive three or more times in each of those. A price of 11/10 says the Reds can get over 2.5 goals again.

Liverpool happen to have the league’s top two scorers, in Luis Suarez (29) and Daniel Sturridge (20). The former, who has six in his last five, can be backed odds-on at 4/5 to net anytime or 2/1 to get a goal anytime. The latter, meanwhile, has managed 11 in his past 12 Premier League games and is priced at 4/5 and 7/2 respectively.

Both Suarez and Sturridge are also involved in another Coral special for this match, as they have odds of 11/4 both to net anytime.

If you feel Andy Carroll can prove to his old employers Liverpool that they were wrong to sell him by scoring here, take a price on him at 11/4 in the anytime market.

In terms of injury news, the Hammers will welcome back Kevin Nolan, and the 31-year-old, who has seven goals in the league this season, can be backed at 7/2 to net anytime. Defender George McCartney is a major doubt, however. Liverpool, meanwhile, have no new absentees.
