Chelsea 40-1 to land spectacular double after European win

| 09.04.2014

Chelsea are 40-1 with bookmaker Coral to pull off the Premier League and Champions League double this season following their victory over PSG last night.

In the Champions League outright market, Chelsea have been cut into 6-1 from 11-1 to win the European trophy for what would be for the second time in three years.  They are though, 4-11 to be eliminated in the semi-finals in what is set to be a very strong line-up.

“Mourinho worked his magic once again on Tuesday evening but he is going to need to show again why he is labelled The Special One because the market suggests Chelsea will have it all to do in the semi-final, regardless of who they will face,” said Coral’s John Hill.

Despite going well in two competitions at this stage of the season, Coral make Chelsea 2-7 not to win a trophy, while they are 5-2 to win either the Premier League or Champions League.

Mourinho is expected to spend big on a striker this summer and Coral go 2-1 for Diego Costa to be a Chelsea player for the first game of the 2014/15 season. The bookies also have Monaco striker Radamel Falcao as a 2-1 shot to join the Blues before the next campaign.

Demba Ba, who scored the crucial goal which put Chelsea through into the last four of the Champions League is 20-1 to re-join Newcastle once again as his next club.
