Messi, Ronaldo and Costa combine for La Liga scoring treble

| 26.03.2014

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Diego Costa have scored 107 club goals between them in all competitions for respective sides Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid this season.

Back this prolific trio to all net anytime with Coral, and enjoy enhanced odds of 2/1 on a treble that is nailed on.

If that phenomenal goals tally alone isn’t enough to make you part with a few quid, then there are plenty of other reasons why this is a great bet.

Messi and Barcelona (7/4 for the La Liga title) host Celta Vigo, while Ronaldo and Real (ods-on 5/6 favourites) travel to Sevilla, and Costa’s Atletico (5/1 outsiders) are at home to Granada.

All their clubs are odds-on to win these midweek matches, but below is a look at each of these three talismanic players in more detail.

Lionel Messi
By the Argentina captain’s exceptionally high standards, a record of two goals against Celta in his last four outings with that opposition is nothing to write home about. Messi has hit back-to-back hat-tricks in La Liga going into this game with the Galician outfit, however, so back him for a third treble in succession at 9/2.

Barca number 10 Messi has netted 13 league goals in 11 appearances since returning from a hamstring problem. His anytime scorer odds against Celta Vigo are 1/4, but there is better value on him netting the opener at 6/4.

Cristiano Ronaldo
The Portugal skipper averages three goals for every two games played (15 in 10 career appearances) against Sevilla. Ronaldo has hit hat-tricks in the last two La Liga meetings with this opposition, so odds of 8/1 on him doing so yet again are hugely attractive.

Since returning from a suspension that only applied to league outings, Ronaldo has grabbed a goal in each of the last four games. That is why he is odds-on at 8/13 to score anytime and 5/2 to grab the opener.

Diego Costa
Brazilian-born Spain cap Costa has two in his previous two outings against Granada, and has netted in five of Atletico’s last five home games in all competitions. He is odds-on at 4/11 to score anytime and 7/4 to get the first.

If punters fancy Costa to bag a brace, as he did against AC Milan in the second leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, then pile money on the two or more goals market at 5/4.
