SPORTSBOOK ODDS

March 5th sees England face visitors Denmark, Wales host Iceland and Republic of Ireland entertain Serbia in three international friendly fixtures. Be patriotic and back the British Isles trio at 8/1 all to register home victories with Coral.

England v Denmark
England have won their last three Wembley matches against Denmark 1-0, and you can back the Three Lions at 24/5 for a same victory scoreline.

The last England home game against their Scandinavian opponents resulted in a 3-2 loss, but that match was held at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney was among the scorers that day, and you can back the Manchester United star – who has two in three against Denmark – at evens to score anytime.

Roy Hodgson’s side have four wins in their last six at home against all countries and have beaten the Danes in 11 out of their overall 18 head-to-heads. They are odd-on at 8/13 for victory again.

England’s only squad withdrawal is Spurs right back Kyle Walker due to injury, and Hodgson has confirmed that Glen Johnson will gain his 50th cap. Denmark have called up the likes of Premier League players Daniel Agger, Nicklas Bendtner and William Kvist, but star player Christian Eriksen is likely to miss out.

Wales v Iceland
Wales have lost just once in six matches against the 320k-populated World Cup play-off losers Iceland, which was way back in 1984 in a World Cup qualification fixture.

The Dragons have won the last three against their opponents and are priced at evens to extend that run to four. Their last two games have resulted in 1-0 victories and Chris Coleman’s side have odds of 5/1 to do so again.

Real Madrid’s reported £85m world record transfer man Gareth Bale has been declared fit to feature. He has managed an impressive 14 goals and as many assists in 28 games in all competitions this season for his new club. Back Bale at evens to score anytime or 5/1 to get two or more.

Striker Sam Vokes has been in flying form this campaign for Championship side Burnley, helped his side to second place with his 17 goals in the league. Back him at 7/4 to net anytime.

Republic of Ireland v Serbia
With the arrival of odd-couple Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane as manager and assistant of the Republic of Ireland respectively, the two go into this match with a win and draw – both being clean sheets – under their belt in their first two games. Back them at 7/4 to prevent Serbia from scoring or 3/1 to win to nil.

The two sides have faced each other just twice in their senior history, with both results being draws. The Green Army are favourites at 13/10 to win the first match of this head-to-head. Serbia go into this game under new acting boss Ljubinko Drulovic, following the resignation of Sinisa Mihajlovic after the country failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Kevin Doyle, along with Andy Reid and Rob Elliot, has pulled out of Ireland’s friendly with Serbia at the Aviva Stadium due to injury, which leaves Hull City’s Shane Long the obvious choice to start.

The 27-year-old has two goals in six for his new club, since joining from West Brom in January, and can be backed at 7/4 to score anytime.
