Only Fulham possess a worse home record than Aston Villa this season, with just 11 points gained from their 13 matches at Villa Park so far.

However, that form book goes out of the window when it comes to Norwich and Paul Lambert’s recent record against his former employers.

Coral are offering a very generous 23/20 on the hosts securing their eighth win of the season today at Villa Park.

Villa and the Canaries sit side-by-side with each other in the Premier League table in 14th and 15th position respectively, both with 28 points. A win for either team could be vital to their fortunes comes the end of the season.

When you also add in the feud that has been running between the two clubs ever since Lambert’s departure from Carrow Road two summers ago, then there is extra spice added to this match.

Former Celtic playing favourite Lambert has an unbeaten record against Norwich dince leaving, having drawn one and won the last three. The Scot will be hoping that his good fortune continues after his side have won just two of their last 13 league games.

Only Fulham have a poorer home record than Villa this season, with just 11 points gained from their 13 matches on their own patch so far. They are 23/20 for just their fourth Villa Park victory of the campaign.

In the corresponding fixture last term, the two teams played out a 1-1 draw with Michael Turner cancelling out Christian Benteke’s opener. It is 23/10 for the teams to take a share of the spoils here.

Chris Hughton’s Canaries have been on a similar run of form to the home side, having won just two of their last 12 league matches, although they did beat Tottenham last time out 1-0 thanks to a Robert Snodgrass goal.

Scoring has been Norwich’s problem this season with summer signings Gary Hooper and Ricky van Wolfswinkel as yet unable to justify their price tags.

The Canaries have netted just eight goals from their 13 away league games, which has seen them win just twice on their travels at Stoke and West Brom. They are 13/5 to pick up their third here.

After a summer of speculation over a big money move, Belgian striker Benteke has also struggled to score this season after impressing during his debut campaign.

He netted 23 goals in all competitions last term, but Benteke has managed just eight so far this time around. He is still 9/2 favourite to open the scoring here though.

For visitors Norwich, Hooper is their leading scorer with just seven. He is 15/8 to move onto eight and 13/2 to net first.
