Jezki tasted Champion Hurdle glory with Barry Geraghty on board for JP McManus as Our Conor fell and had to be put down on the first day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Another all-Irish pair of Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh kicked the four-day meet at the home of jumps racing off to a flyer with victory in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.

They also trained and rode Quevega to an unprecedented saith Mares’ Hurdle crown.
