Brucie’s odds slashed to Waltz off Strictly

| 03.03.2014

Following reports that the veteran host’s days at the helm of the show are numbered, Coral slashed his odds into 2-1 from 7-1 NOT be fronting the BBC dance contest this year.

The bookies has now opened betting on who will replace the 86-year-old entertainer, making ballroom dancer Anton du Beke the 15-8 favourite ahead of Vernon Kay at 2-1 and Claudia Winkleman at 5-2.

“After missing a number of shows last season, Sir Bruce’s future at the BBC is looking more and more uncertain. The latest betting suggests that his days on Strictly Come Dancing are numbered and that Anton du Beke will be taking the reins,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
