In the not too distant past, Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez were a strike partnership at Manchester City. During the 2009/10 campaign, they netted 37 Premier League goals – just shy of one for every match played – between them.

They have since moved on to new pastures at Tottenham and Italian champions Juventus respectively. Adebayor and Tevez were always individual stars as well as being prolific when paired together at the Etihad. Back them both to score anytime in Europa League outings with Coral and receive mega odds of 4/1.

If punters need more than just their Premier League pedigree to be convinced this is a superb bet, then we have some other compelling reasons why you should take this price.

Spurs take on Portuguese league leaders and Lisbon giants Benfica in their last 16 clash. Tim Sherwood’s side enjoy home advantage and have always scored at White Hart Lane in the Europa League this term.

Tottenham have, in fact, averaged three goals per game on their own turf in this competition. Since Jermain Defoe left for Toronto, Sherwood has tended to play just one striker up front and Adebayor is in far better form than Roberto Soldado.

Former Arsenal man Adebayor’s brace against Dnipro sent Spurs through to set up this meeting with Benfica. Back the Togo man to score two or more again here at 6/1. He is also 9/2 to net first.

Hosts Tottenham have won all of their Europa League games this season and start as 11/8 favourites to keep that run going.

Argentine attacker Tevez and Juve, meanwhile, take on fellow Serie A top-four team Fiorentina. He has already scored against this opposition in league action this term, and is on 16 in all competitions.

The Old Lady, coached by former captain Antonio Conte, are odds-on 4/11 favourites to sink Vincenzo Montella’s Viola in Turin. Tevez is even-money to net anytime against Fiorentina and 4/1 to score the opener.
