First ever £1 Million Coral Football Jackpot up for grabs

| 07.03.2014

A Coral customer could become a millionaire this weekend on the Football Jackpot which for the first time this season will have an anticipated prize pool of over £1 million pounds.

The Football Jackpot requires customers to correctly predict the outcome of 15 matches over the weekend for a share of the prize pool. In the event that there is no winner of the pool, it rolls over to the following week. Customers who miss out by one (predict 14 out of 15 correctly), or by two (13 out of 15), win a consolation payment.

The Football Jackpot has now rolled over for several weeks but several Coral customers have come very closely to winning a life-changing sum of money on the bet.

An online customer last week came was one goal in the last match away from winning £830,000. He needed Chesterfield to beat Portsmouth on Monday night, but the match finished 0 v 0.

The week before two customers would have shared the Football Jackpot pool and won £372,000 each has Spurs beaten Norwich in the last match, but Norwich upset the odds with a 2 v 0 win.

“The near misses on the Football Jackpot in recent weeks have been incredible stories and have generated huge interest in the bet, and we are expecting record breaking turnover this weekend,” said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

“It is the simplicity of the bet that appeals most. Everyone has an opinion on football and all you have to do it pick the result in fifteen matches, and even if you don’t have an opinion there’s a lucky dip option too,” added Clare
