Coral are offering a special bet on Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger, and which high-profile Premier League manager will leave his post before the other. Punters can get 5/6 on Portuguese coach Mourinho departing his post at Chelsea before Arsenal’s Wenger exits the Emirates, or vice versa.

Blues boss Mourinho instigated a war of words when he branded Gunners counterpart Wenger a “specialist in failure” as the north London side have not won a trophy since 2005.

‘The Special One’ added that Arsenal “fear to fail” and that if he were to go eight years without winning something he would not have his job at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger’s Gunners are 7/4 to end that wait for silverware this season. They are 3/1 second favourites to lift the FA Cup behind odds-on Manchester City (10/11), who knocked Chelsea out the competition at the Etihad.

Arsenal beat fellow top-four side Liverpool, avenging the 5-1 Premier League defeat an Anfield, at the Emirates in the world’s oldest knockout football competition in round five. They next face Everton.

Responding to Mourinho’s barb, Wenger said he had embarrassed Chelsea, describing his comments as “silly and disrespectful”.

It is not the first time ‘The Special One’ has had something to say about the Frenchman either.

During his first spell at Chelsea, Mourinho described Wenger as a “voyeur” following comments the Arsenal boss made about the Blues’ transfer policy.

Both managers could be tempted to finish their distinguished careers at international level. Mourinho has indicated he wants to end his life in football by coaching his native Portgual.

Wenger, meanwhile, could conceivably be France boss after 2016. Playing greats Laurent Blanc and now Didier Deschamps have been in the Les Bleus dugout, but neither has the managerial pedigree of the Gunners gaffer.

Media sound bites have dominated football headlines recently. Mourinho described Chelsea as a “little horse” in the Premier League title race, prompting Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers to brand his side as “Chihuahuas”.

Leaders Chelsea are second favourites at 6/4 behind 11/10 Manchester City to lift the top-flight trophy. Liverpool are next at 8/1 in front of third-placed Arsenal at 9/1.

It’s a similar story in the race for a top-four place. Rodgers’ Reds are 1/5 ahead of the Gunners at 2/9 despite a three-point deficit.
