Odds against Man City and Arsenal beating European giants

| 17.02.2014
SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Bookmaker Coral is offering odds of 12-1 that both Manchester City and Arsenal win their respective games against Barcelona and Bayern Munich in this week’s Champions League. Despite home advantage, both sides are outsiders to win in 90 minutes, with City available at 7-4 and the Gunners even bigger at 7-2.

With the Citizens 14-1 to win both legs against Barcelona, Coral go 1-2 that they are eliminated from the last-16 stage, 9-2 that they crash out in the quarter-finals, while they’re 12-1 to win the tournament. Arsenal are much bigger odds at 40-1 to win both legs against Bayern Munich, and Coral make them a 1-5 shot to crash out of the last-16.

“Both sides face horror clashes tomorrow night and the odds don’t bode well for either British outfit. Support for Arsenal has been scarce given their history of exiting the tournament at this stage, but there’s a lot more momentum for Pellegrini’s side, given their superb home record,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
