Chelsea, West Ham and Cardiff in Tuesday treble special

League leaders Chelsea travel to West Brom in a battle to further raise their title hopes. The Blues, however, have lost their two previous trips to The Hawthorns.

In the last four meetings between the two sides in the league, Chelsea have been the winning side just once.

However, new boss Pepe Mel has not started his Baggies tenure very well, with no wins in his first four games. In the home side’s last 22 league matches, they have kept just three clean sheets. It will not be a bore draw, it is almost certain.

West Brom have key players Nicolas Anelka, Jonas Olsson and Stephane Sessegnon all out injured, while Chelsea captain John Terry is also on the sidelines.

Eden Hazard has scored twice in his last three games against the Baggies, and following his hat-trick against Newcastle, back him at 5/4 to score anytime.

West Ham v Norwich
Norwich have won just four times in their last 24 at Upton Park, with the last victory coming in 1987.

Both sides find themselves on equal points and just two above the relegation zone, so this is a crucial battle in the bid to survive.

West Ham are on a bit of a roll recently, having won two consecutive matches and gaining three successive clean sheets.

Kevin Nolan was a big part of those last two victories, getting braces in both. Back him at 9/1 to score two or more again, or 7/4 to net a goal at anytime.

A victory for the Hammers seems likely here, and with Norwich’s Gary Hooper a doubt, they lack fire-power.

Cardiff v Aston Villa
Cardiff’s Craig Bellamy has scored six times in 14 games in his multiple club career against Villa. You can back the Welshman at 7/2 to get a goal at anytime.

Bellamy is currently mulling over whether to contest his three-match ban charge given by the FA. If he does, he will be available for this crucial fixture.

Aston Villa have gained three consecutive wins and as many clean sheets in their last fixtures against the Bluebirds – although the first one was way back in 1975. However, the Birmingham club have just one victory in their last five away games.

The home side are three points from safety in the league, and hope to make it two consecutive wins at the Cardiff City Stadium.
