Andy Murray and Kim Sears 2-1 for Valentine’s day engagement

| 13.02.2014

Bookmaker Coral has opened betting on which celebrities will get engaged on Valentine’s Day, making Andy Murray 2-1 to pop the question to his long-term girlfriend Kim Sears.

Celebrity Big Brother stars Lee Ryan and Jasmine Waltz are the odds-on favourites at 10-11 to announce their engagement after they revealed their love this week. On-off couple Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton are also prominent in the betting to get engaged at 4-1, but Kelly Brook and new love David McIntosh are more likely to make an announcement at 3-1.

The odds of a royal engagement are longer, with Prince Harry a 20-1 shot to propose to Cressida Bonas, while Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson can be backed at 10-1.

“We believe Andy Murray could finally get down on one knee and pop the question to Kim Sears. The tennis star has denied wedding rumours in the past, but the odds suggest he could finally take the plunge to mark the most romantic day of the year,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

“Although Prince Harry looks more loved-up than ever before, we reckon he will opt for a more low-key day to pop the question to Cressida,” added McGeady.
