After taking a break during Capital One and FA Cup action, the Premier League roars back with one of the most hotly anticipated matches of this or any season – the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

It’s 45/1 about a repeat of the 3-3 draw between Roberto Martinez’s and Brendan Rodgers’ men at Goodison Park earlier this term and they have some classic clashes to live up to on the Red side of Stanley Park.

January 2011 – Liverpool 2-2 Everton

After the Toffees came back from 1-0 down to go 2-1 ahead in the second half, a Dirk Kuyt penalty ensured Liverpool remained unbeaten at home against Everton whilst David Moyes was in charge and an away victory at Anfield still eludes the Scot’s CV.

Coral go 13/5 on a second top-flight draw this season between the sides.

March 2006 – Liverpool 3-1 Everton

This bad tempered affair saw the city’s ‘Capital of Culture 2008′ marketing campaign badly backfire, with Liverpool ’08’ Steven Gerrard booked twice in the first 18 minutes and Toffees flop Andy van der Meyde following him off late on.

Phil Neville’s comical own goal just before half-time set the tone on a miserable day for the men in blue.

September 1999 – Liverpool 0-1 Everton

The last time Everton won at their hated rivals, thanks to Kevin Campbell’s early goal in an even more feisty encounter which saw 10 Blues take on nine Reds by the final whistle, with Sander Westerveld, substitute Gerrard and Francis Jeffers all receiving their marching orders.

It’s 10/3 that the visitors break their awful Anfield run with a win at the first attempt for Martinez.

April 1999 – Liverpool 3-2 Everton

Back in the days before Robbie Fowler scooped up chunks of the Wirral for his property portfolio he used to love the odd goal against Everton, but the Kop legend is better remembered for an infamous ‘line sniffing’ incident in this match, rather than the brace he bagged.

Liverpool are 4/5 to make it business as usual with their third win in four matches at home to their neighbours.

November 1995 – Liverpool 1-2 Everton

The Toffees only other win at Anfield in the Premier League era came courtesy of a brace from Andrei Kanchelskis, who had just joined Everton from Liverpool’s great nemesis Manchester United. Fowler gave a glimpse of future exploits with an 89th-minute consolation.
