Only a short hop down memory lane is required to locate the last instance of Wayne Rooney, Luis Suarez and Alvaro Negredo scoring in the same Premier League gameweek and the trio all finding the scoresheet again in the next round of fixtures also looks a real possibility.

It is 7/1 in the Premier League odds that the trio all score in their respective 90 minutes, with Rooney playing at home to former club Everton, Suarez’ favoured opposition Norwich heading to Anfield and Manchester City on their travels to West Brom.

This enhanced multiple would have been successful in the fixtures across the weekend of November 23rd and 24th, when Negredo netted in Man City’s six-goal blitz of Tottenham, Suarez scored in the Merseyside derby and Rooney broke the deadlock in the 2-2 draw with Cardiff.

Suarez certainly looks the biggest banker of the trio to score this time, given his track record of seven goals in his last three appearances with Norwich, which includes two hat-tricks.

Liverpool put 10 past Norwich in their two showdowns last season and the Canaries have already conceded 11 this time in their visits to clubs currently occupying top-four spots in the Premier League standings – at Arsenal and Man City.

Furthermore, Suarez is yet to go two games for Liverpool this campaign without getting on the scoresheet and he had a surprising limited influence in their last fixture, which ended in defeat at Hull.

Normal business should be restored against Norwich, who are additionally still to keep a clean sheet this season against opposition stationed in the top half of the Premier League at present.

Another team struggling for clean sheets against those in the upper echelons of the division are West Brom, as they have shut out just one of the 11 clubs above them in the standings thus far.

Man City strikers have somewhat of a knack of helping themselves to doubles or hat-tricks against the Baggies in recent seasons too, with Mario Balotelli, Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko all nabbing at least a brace against them.

Negredo is the next to attempt to extend this sequence and he unquestionably couldn’t arrive at the Hawthorns in better goal-scoring form, thanks to eight goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions.

The only concerns with the Spaniard are that he is the most likely of the trio involved in this treble to be given a game off and only two of his goals for Man City all season have come away from the Etihad.

With Robin van Persie still struggling with a groin problem, there is little chance of Wayne Rooney being left out for Man Utd against his former club Everton.

David Moyes would be silly to omit the England striker also, as he has been pivotal in the club scoring nine goals in three games in all competitions.

Rooney has additionally scored in all four Premier League games Van Persie hasn’t started this season and on the last four occasions that he has netted a double for the Red Devils, he has been on target again in the following game, which is promising after his two goals at Tottenham.

Furthermore, Everton have been far from watertight against the top eight this season, conceding at least twice in three of their four encounters with opposition in this league group.
