Punters dreaming of a white Christmas as temperatures drop
With temperatures taking a dive this week, the chances of snow on Christmas Day have improved and Coral bookmaker is quoting 3-1 that it snows in Aberdeen, while its’ 5-1 to snow in Newcastle. However, the odds on a white Christmas in London have lengthened slightly in the last few days, and it’s now 8-1 (from 6-1) that the capital is blanketed with snow.
“We may not be heading for the coldest Christmas on record, but that hasn’t stopped punters dreaming of a white Christmas, “said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
“The last time snow was recorded on Christmas Day in London was back in 2001, and although the odds on it happening this year have drifted, festive punters are still having a flutter,” added McGeady.
