West Brom v Arsenal Preview

Arsenal are bidding for a club record ninth straight league away victory tomorrow, but there’s no way they will be taking West Brom lightly after what the Baggies did to Manchester United last weekend.

Coral have the Gunners at 4/5 and Arsene Wenger’s men certainly deserve to be strong favourites after a sequence of results which hasn’t just taken them to the top of the Premiership, but has also provided them with the perfect start in the Champions League and passage through to the last 16 of the Capital One Cup.

Written off by most after their opening day home defeat to Aston Villa, Arsenal are now into 9/2 to win the title and could even be vying for favouritism after this weekend if results go their way.

That Cup victory was at the expense of West Brom (on penalties) just eleven days ago, but Wenger will be expecting a much stiffer examination tomorrow from a team since buoyed by that fabulous win at Old Trafford.

It was certainly no fluke, either, Steve Clarke’s side played some excellent football against an admittedly lack-lustre United and even David Moyes accepted that they were full value for their victory.
