Punters bet on Prince George’s Godparents as christening looms

| 11.10.2013
SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Leading bookmaker Coral is taking bets on who the chosen six Godparents will be. Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton are the heavy odds-on favourites to be given the honours at odds of 1-33 and 1-20 respectively.

Others expected to be in the running include the Duchess of Cambridge’s best friend Catriona Foyle, James Middleton, Hugh Van Custem and Lady Rose Astor who have all been installed at 2-1 with Coral. Prince William’s friend David Beckham is also on the list at 10-1, while Victoria Beckham can be backed at 20-1.

“As we wait to hear who the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will choose as Godparents for their new son, punters are having their say on whom the chosen six will be. With Harry and Pippa looking certain to get the role, punters believe that this modern-thinking couple will chose from their tight-knit group of friends rather than more distant aristocratic figures”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
