Novellist backed to give in-form Murtagh more big race glory

| 30.09.2013

The German-trained Novellist is 11-2 (from 13-2) with Coral for Sunday’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, following support for Johnny Murtagh’s mount today. Orfevre is the 5-2 favourite, ahead of Treve at 3-1.

“Orfevre and Treve have dominated the Arc betting since their respective trial successes, but Johnny Murtagh’s positive update on the King George winner has sparked support for his mount, with punters happy to back one of the season’s in-form big race riders,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

Closer to home, Wentworth heads Coral’s betting for Saturday’s Betfred Challenge Cup at Ascot, with Ascription, Big Johnny D and Redvers all 10-1.

Racing Post. Now in the role of Head of PR, he is involved in all aspects
of the company's media relations, providing the latest racing betting news , as well as Coral's sponsorship and event
portfolio. A keen sports fan, and long-suffering Portsmouth supporter (the
two are not always connected), when not working he will normally be found
heading south, or east or west, to the sun, and that liking for the sunshine
explains why he will always prefer flat racing to the jumps.
