English sides backed to dominate group stages

| 16.09.2013

With the Champions League group stages set to begin play tomorrow night, leading bookmaker Coral is quoting 5-1 that Man United, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal all win their respective clashes. The firm is also taking bets on which English club progresses the furthest, making Chelsea the 15-8 favourites.

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale got his Real Madrid debut off to a dream start by netting a goal in the 38th minute and Coral is offering 4-1 that he opens the scoring against Galatasaray and 20-1 that he bags a hat-trick.

“Manchester United are popular as always and we have taken plenty of money on them beating Bayer Leverkusen, as well as winning their group. All the English sides are favourites to win their games this week, but Arsenal appear to be absent from a lot of betting slips”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
