Rickie Lambert 11-4 to make England’s World Cup squad

| 15.08.2013

Rickie Lambert is 11-4 with Coral to make Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad following his winner in England’s 3-2 victory over Scotland. The Southampton forward had only been on the pitch for 2 minutes and 45 seconds before he guided the Three Lions to victory with a well-timed header.

“Rickie Lambert couldn’t have wished for a better way to announce himself on the international scene and if the Southampton forward can have an impressive start to the new season, Roy Hodgson is going to have a difficult decision to make should England qualify for Brazil,” said Coral’s Tim Reynolds.

England can now concentrate on their remaining four matches in qualifying. Coral quote 8-11 for Roy Hodgson’s men to remain unbeaten in qualifying and 3-1 they win their last four matches.

The Three Lions currently sit second in Group H, two points behind Montenegro with a game in hand. It’s 4-9 for England to qualify as winners of Group H and 5-1 is quoted for England not to qualify.
