The Fugue heads Yorkshire Oaks betting

| 20.08.2013

Coral has installed The Fugue as the 9-4 favourite for Thursday’s Yorkshire Oaks, after eight runners were declared for the Group One showpiece. Aidan O’Brien’s Venus De Milo is the 3-1 second favourite, whilst the other Irish raider is Jim Bolger’s Scintillula, who is available at 12-1. Lady Cecil will be represented by Wild Coco and Riposte, who can be backed at 9-2 and 11-2 respectively.

“John Gosden will be hoping that The Fugue can improve upon last year’s second and backers haven’t been put off by her below-par effort in the Coral-Eclipse. However, with Sir Henry Cecil winning this race five times before, we expect to see plenty of support for Wild Coco and Riposte”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

**Yorkshire Oaks

9-4 The Fugue, 3 Venus De Milo, 9-2 Wild Coco, 11-2 Riposte, 15-2 Secret Gesture, 12-1 Scintillula, 16-1 Emirates Queen, 25-1 Moment In Time
