Coral are offering 3-1 about Al Kazeem for the Eclipse from 8.30 on Saturday morning. This special price will be available to both new and existing online, mobile and telebet account holders up to a maximum bet of £25.

Coral spokesman David Stevens said “We are aiming to keep the 3-1 available for as long as possible – certainly for hours rather than minutes, and maybe even up until race time – as we are committed to building a substantial six-figure liability.”

Al Kazeem has been favourite for the race since winning the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot and his price was as short at 11-8 earlier in the week. His price eased with the news that Aidan O’Brien would run Queen Anne Stakes winner Declaration Of War with 9-4 being the best price available on Friday evening.

Despite the small field, business has been brisk on the feature event with money for both O’Brien horses and The Fugue over the past week.

There has also been plenty of interest in the supporting card and Windhoek, as high as 8-1 at the start of the week, has now replaced Wentworth at the head of the market for the Coral Challenge.

Support for Wentworth has evaporated since the draw was announced with punters taking note of the booking of Ryan Moore on one-time Derby hopeful Windhoek. Directorship and Trader Jack have also been supported at each-way prices.

Coral went 9-4 about Sir Michael Stoute’s Plover in the opening race on Friday evening but were forced to cut the filly to 15-8 after strong support.

Over at Haydock, Albasharah looks set to go off a strong favourite for the Lancashire Oaks as punters snapped up the 2-1 forcing her in to 7-4. Trainer Mark Johnston saddles five in the Old Newton Cup and the early money suggests that Star Lahib (10-1 from 16-1) and Sir Graham Wade (10-1 from 14-1) could be the pick of them.
