United Spending Spree Attracts Major Gamble

Coral bookmakers have witnesses a surge of bets on both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale moving to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.

Ronaldo was cut into 11-10 from 10-3 to return to his old haunting ground yesterday after his controversial tweet, while Garth Bale is 6-4 to leave Spurs and 6-1 to move to Old Trafford. However, Coral are still making Real Madrid the hot favourite for his next destination at 4-6.

“The transfer gossip has certainly captivated punters this summer and the biggest mover in the betting has been Cristiano Ronaldo. He has attracted more money than any other player to join United and after today’s news involving United’s spending spree, some punters reckon that they will even secure Bale’s signature before the window closes”, commented Coral’s Nicola McGeady.
