Punters Plunge On England To Win Under 21s European Championship

| 04.06.2013
SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Coral is reporting patriotic support for England, as the 11/2 third favourites, to win the European Under-21 Championship, and says a victory against Italy tomorrow could see them leapfrog Germany into second favouritism.

The bookmaker believes that the presence of Manchester United’s big money signing, Wilfried Zaha, and the absence of any major senior summer football tournament, will ensure millions of pounds of turnover is bet on the Sky Sports covered Under 21s event.

“The popularity of football betting continues to soar and with no senior international tournament this summer, football punters are certain to get stuck into the Under 21s tournament”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

“Over £10 million will be bet on the tournament across Britain and success for England could cost bookies a seven figure sum”, added Clare.
