Magician and Animal Kingdom both odds-on for day one Royal victories

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

The Dubai World Cup winner Animal Kingdom is 10-11 favourite with Coral for the Queen Anne Stakes, while the recent Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Magician is the same price for the St James’s Palace Stakes in Coral’s opening show on the Group One contest.

“Animal Kingdom looks certain to start odds-on for the meeting’s curtain raiser, with Lockinge flop Declaration Of War his closest challenger in the betting, while Magician deserves to be odds-on for the St James’s Palace Stakes following his impressive Curragh victory, and with his rival Toronado needing to bounce back after his Qipco 2,000 Guineas disappointment,” said Coral’s David Stevens.

“These two favourites are sure to form a popular double on day on of the Royal meeting, and wins for both will get punters off to a flying start,” added Stevens.

Looking ahead to the final day of the Royal meeting, Society Rock is the 4-1 (from 5-1) favourite with Coral for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes, after Soft Falling Rain and Shea Shea were both ruled out of the showpiece sprint.
