Animal Kingdom Cut To 8-11 For Queen Anne As 15 Stand Their Ground

SPORTSBOOK ODDS

Animal Kingdom has shortened dramatically to 8-11 from 5-6 with Coral following the six day entry stage today that has seen fifteen horses stand their ground for the Queen Anne Stakes.

“Over the last 48 hours the support for Animal Kingdom has been relentless including several four figure bets and it now looks certain that the Graham Motion trained runner will emulate last year’s star, Frankel, by starting odds on for the Queen Anne Stakes”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

The King’s Stand Stakes looks likely to have a big, competitive field but the South African star sprinter, Shea Shea, remains a 5-2 favourite with Coral for the race.

The emergence of Dawn Approach as a likely starter in the St James’s Palace Stakes has only helped to make the opening day at Royal Ascot into an absolute barnstormer in terms of quality and interest.

“The presence of two international stars in Animal Kingdom and Shea Shea, and the most thrilling line-up imaginable in the St James’s Palace stakes, has turned the first day of Royal Ascot into an absolute barnstormer. It is inconceivable that betting interest on the day won’t be as stellar as the big race line-ups”, said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.
